As time goes by changes are realized in the style of head cover that patients were initially allowed to wear. Other gears are slowly replacing cancer turbans that have been around for decades. Forms of gear for head coverings for hair loss include wigs, scarves, caps, hats, and turbans among other designs.

Loose hair can easily contaminate work stations or food. Wearing hairnets or snoods could prevent possible contamination since they hold and ensure hair remains at the back of the head at all times. Natural or synthetic wigs are worn as disguise for thin hair or baldness. Wigs can also be worn as a costume. Special wigs like those worn by judges, barristers, and parliamentary speaker act as symbols of office.

Sun protected summer hats are a good product for sun-venturing individuals. They come with sweat bands that are adjustable to fit properly. The interiors are very soft and one can get them in modern styles. Winter hats are designed for providing same comfort as turbans, even though they are contain unique features, which include water proof wool.

Finding scarves specifically tailored for patients experiencing hair loss is hard. If they exist, it is recommendable that they be made from very soft cotton to prevent heat insulation. The other benefit they present over scarves made from silk or polyester is that they never slip on bald heads easily. One can buy, pre-tied scarves or settle for the untied ones.

Head gears are worn for casual and official reasons. A headdress may, in fact shade some light on concepts, values, or occasion the wearer is going to by looking at the choice of headdress. Hats are meant for wearing in different situations including prayer meetings, weddings, and funerals, making them differ in design and make. Head covers are used as fashion items to give wearers a distinguished look.

Helmets are head wear designed for protection of the skull and neck from injuries. They safeguard against contact and blows when worn in sports like American football and boxing. Helmets are common amongst construction site workers, skaters, motorcyclists, and cyclists. The law regarding helmets is clear in every country and categories fit for particular jobs are given. Helmets are usually rigid.

Orthodontic headgears are used to correct anteroposterior discrepancies, manage growth of mandibular and maxillary bones. Short upper jaws or reverse overjets can be encouraged to grow forward by wearing specialized orthodontic headdresses. They are designed specially with elastics, cap, face bow, and fitting straps. Treatment covers must be fitted by trained medicine personal and not just anybody.

Removing hair covers convey different messages. The military has clear rules on where and when to remove or wear hats. In, military removing a hat is considered a form of salute. Some countries require its citizens to remove hats whenever the national anthem is played as a sign of respect. Greetings may be passed by touching, tilting forward, briefly removing, or raising a hat.
