Did Jersey Shore Have An Influence On Pop Culture?

By Amos Roberge

Jersey Shore has been a really well known television program for lots of years, so if you do not understand much about it, read on to find out more

Basically, Jersey Shore was once a reality television series that was on the air for three years (from 2009 to 2012).

Filmed in Seaside Heights, New Jersey, the tv show is about the lives of eight young guys and girls, called guidos and guidettes, who stayed temporarily in the lively N.J. town and whom were followed constantly by cameras, filming their every move. The people that were included became larger than life, getting into different circumstances in their work and individual lives - a few of which were rather astonishing. It was really these different characters and how they harmonized that made the television show so attractive and popular.

I enjoyed watching each and every episode since you never ever could predict exactly what kind of misdeeds the show's characters would get into next. I commonly laughed hilariously at some of the antics of the guidos.

You may ask yourself: "exactly what is a guido?" Guido is defined as "driver." It defines Italian-American guys and gals who like to dress up and act in a certain way. Of the things you'll constantly see is that the guys are tanned and they generally have ripped physiques . Dare I state, the fitness center is a male guido's pal. Guidettes, on the other hand, share comparable attributes with their male counterparts. Dressing seductively appears to be a usual theme with guidettes. Both guys and females additionally love to wear a lot of jewelry around their necks.

As the series got rolling, the reception in Seaside Heights was not welcoming Homeowners had already known the bad actions of the cast would cast a bad spotlight on their quaint little town. Nonetheless, they gave up in the end and the tv show started.

As in most reality shows, the home where the show was shot was stacked with cameras from the front to the back and everywhere in between. The showering space was the only area not covered by 24 hour cameras. As a matter of fact, the people in the show revealed later that they commonly escaped the glare of the lense by going to that space and spending a great deal of hours in there. In reality, Nicole Polizzi, one of the original girls, revealed that most of the controversial things that were happening in the home were really their reactions to those cameras. There's no denying that following young men and girls around with cameras at all times of the day and night will have that effect.

Without fail, the critics were not kind to Jersey Shore. Not only that, lots of Italian Americans were rather put-off as their perception of "Guido" is that of an ethnic slur.

This controversy pulled out a lot of the initial sponsors such as Dell, American Family Insurance and Domino's which, as a result, was a final nail in the coffin.

To summarize, I would state that this program was not even meant for adults. I suggest a few of the things that took place on that show were not expected to be televised in the time period that the program was aired. Finally, Jersey Shore could actually be evaluated as a low-value reality show for anyone other than the young teenagers it targeted.
