The Benefits Of Having Metal Prints

By Marci Nielsen

In metallic printing, dyes are placed inside specially coated aluminum sheets. In traditional paper prints, the dye is placed inside the surface but not on top. Metal prints protect the image better because the factors which lead to degradation are less likely to reach it.

The prints cannot get damaged by water. Other damaging liquids cannot cause disastrous effects on them too. If dust settles on them or many people touch the surface, you can just wipe it off with a damp piece of cloth to clean up. Therefore, you should opt for metallic prints if you want to protect your images.

Lost memories can never be recovered. Therefore, it is important to ensure that all the important images are captured and preserved well. Paper is not the best product to use to make prints of such memories. It gets damaged quickly when exposed to various conditions. Over time, the images also change color and their quality deteriorates.

The prints are very detailed. In addition, the color used brings the image to live clearly. However, this is not the case with paper. At times, the flaws are many such that they are the only thing you can think about. This is not how the situation is supposed to be. By just gazing at the image, a flood of memories should come to your mind. This can only happen if you go for superior printing.

The price of paper prints is different from aluminum print. Paper prints are very cheap. However, it is better to sacrifice some amount to have the artwork or image preserved well than pay for cheap services only to lose the product for good after a short while. The metallic print do not cost a fortune and anyone can afford them. All important moments should be preserved using them.

The product cannot get damaged by scratching. Aluminum metal is resistant to scratches. Thus, you are assured of durability no matter the degree of scratching the item is exposed to. It also does not undergo peeling which is very evident with paper. If the outer coat falls off, so does the image. This is only possible when you use paper printing.

You can display the product in whichever way you desire. Some of the options include use of corner stands, suspending on walls, use of traditional frames and shadow boxes. However, these are not the only options. You can practice with whatever ideas you have in mind. At the end of the day, your creativity may lead you to a stunning creation.

The items are light making them very portable. Thus, even those who do not stay in one location for long will find them very easy to carry. Paper work has to be fixed on a frame. This may make it so heavy such that you have to call in special movers to transport it and have fixed. This costs you money.
