New Orleans is an enjoyable and diversified town that offers a lot travelers. Some of the highlights include the historic French Quarter, busy Bourbon Street and of course the savoury traditional cuisine. Thanks to a mixing pot of cultures the town boasts several entrancing museums to help visitors better understand the local history, art and heritage. Here are simply a few of the top museums in New Orleans

Louisiana Children's Museum

While much of New Orleans appeals primarily to adults there's still plenty to enlighten and entertain younger children also. The Louisiana Children's Museum is among the best New Orleans museums for families and it conveniently located in the Central Business District simply a short stroll from the French Quarter. Exhibits range all the way from topics like the human body and basic machinery to local subjects like the history of New Orleans or knowing how a port operates in coastal towns. Visit to familiarize youngsters with the thrill of New Orleans and to learn a couple of things at the very same time.

Historic New Orleans Collection
