The Work Gloves That Keep Your Safe At Work

By Minnie Whitley

In the work place, there are many things to watch out for. Most especially that in this area there are so many accidents that happen. Basically, hazards are found in every way in the work place and they just wait to be triggered. For example in the construction site. Many contractors are at risk of falling, or being hit by falling objects. While for doctors, contamination and corrosion could happen.

Considering these cases, there have been protective gears which were made to keep workers from being harmed. One of those protective gears is the work gloves. Most of the time these garments are used by individuals whose hands are in contact with corrosive elements or hand wrecking materials such as chemicals, sharp instruments, heat and some other causes.

But that aside, there are people who use them for protection against chemicals may they be strong or mild. While others also used them not to get contaminated with blood borne diseases. But these garments certainly cannot save you from accidents. But with observance of proper working habits and the careful selection of appropriate garment to use can serve as a safety measure.

Speaking of this, there are actually different types of working muffs. First, there is the disposable gloves. They are used to protect the hands from mild chemicals like detergent, and other cleaning agents. They are especially used by those who have sensitive hands. They are also used by individuals who prepare the food like the culinarians.

There is also the fabric muffs. This is different from those used for fashion. This one is used in order to better the grip on slippery objects. Aside from that, they also keep your hands insulated so heat and cold will not be felt. There is also the leather gloves. These muffs are made to protect the hands from rough materials and electricity.

Next is the rubber gloves. This kind is the ones used by both construction workers and medical personnel. Basically, this one protects the hands from being harmed by the strong chemical substances encountered in the experiments. In the construction, there are a lot of substances like petroleum products and other grease that could dirty and harm the skin.

But other than those, doctors also use them frequently especially those that often deal with patients who have contagious diseases. That is because the blood of these patients contain pathogens that are able to invade into the system of another person by mere contact. That is why something as thick and impenetrable like rubber is used.

Also, there is the metal mesh muffs. Thy are used by people who work with dangerous tools such as cutting devices and other sharp materials. While the last one is called the aluminized gloves. These are made to protect the hands from heat. They are specifically made for individuals working with molten objects.

These are the types of muffs used during work in order to protect against specific hazards. However, they are not a guarantee that you will be protected since they are just safety measures. Of course things would still largely depend on how carefully you do your work.
