Pagan Fiction Literature And Movies

By Jody Leach

Paganism can be defined in so many ways depending on the point of view. According to Christians, a pagan is anyone that is not a believer. Any individual that does not believe in Jesus Christ as the Messiah, holy trinity and God the almighty is a pagan. However a more open minded view defines paganism as any religion that does not have origins from Abraham. This brings us to pagan fiction literature and movies.

Any person that subscribes to the classical ways of the world can be referred to as a pagan. Even the people that do not adhere fully to their religious ways can be classified as pagans generally. This widens the group profoundly. The actual paganism community has a number of beliefs of its own and these are basically from way back in history. They originate from pre modern Europe.

In recent times another breed of pagans has cropped up. This breed is commonly referred to as the neo-paganisms. These are modern day pagans that claim to have their origins from beliefs of ancient Europe. These however share very little in common with the olden day ones. Their cultures, traditions and beliefs are totally different. They live under the common notion that divinity can only be in mind and also nature.

The history of paganism dates way back to the beginning of Christianity. At this time people were identified using their religious affiliations. The Hebrews had not embraced any known religion yet and so were termed as the Hellenes. Hellenes is a term used to describe pagans as well. As time went by the name became popular and that was the birth of this religion.

The fictional writings of these pagans have a lot to do with the pagans and their ways. This is their way of putting their cultures, norms, traditions and others into writing. This form of writing is basically based on imagination and ability for creativity. It is not informative like other religious writings known to man. It is usually fantasy writing from the mind of an imaginative person aimed at thrilling the readers.

Books written with an attempt to portray the pagans ways are highly fictional and tailored to entertain the open minded. Such writing featured creatures unseen on earth and abilities unknown to man. Pagans believe in the existence of magic and people born with special magical capabilities. This belief is vividly shown in majority of the books written with particular titles.

The motion pictures on the other hand are even better sources of entertainment. It can be amazing how so profound the imaginations of one can be. The creativity and thought put to it can be quite intriguing. Pagan titled books and movies have a rich sense of nature and adventure. They are usually intended for the over imaginative children but adults enjoy them lust as much.

Therefore as much as people despise paganism as a religion, their cultures and traditions have been widely embraced. The works of this religion are enjoyed by so many people in the community at large. The movies created from their culture and beliefs are the most watched to date.
