There are a few theaters in Los Angeles. Being the entertainment capital of the Earth, Los Angeles produces many high quality plays, musicals and other performances in its various theaters. Below you will find a list with some of the best thetaers Los Angeles has to offer to its residents and visitors. Nokia Theater L.A.

LiveThe Nokia Theatre has been in business since October 18, 2007. When the theater opened it hosted 6 concerts by the Dixie Chicks and The Eagles, all of which were sold out. During the first two months the Nokia Theater was open, it hosted concerts by Mary J. Blige, John Fogerty, Neil Young, Anita Baker, Sugarland and Queens of the Stone Age. The Nokia Theater seats 7,100 folk and has the largest stage of all of the theaters in Southern California. No seat in the theater is a bit more than 220 feet from the stage. The Nokia Theatre hosts 120 concerts each year, as well as events such as product launches, TV broadcasts, awards show, corporate showcases and family shows. The 1st national broadcast of an awards show from the Nokia Theater was The American Music Awards. If you want to visit only one of these attractions, the Nokia Theatre is the one.

The Orpheum Theater

The planning of The Orpheum Theater began in 1923 and opened February 15, 1926. In 1933 Judy Garland performed at the theater. Other famous names that have performed there are Lena Horne, Jack Benny, Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald, Aretha Franklin, Small Richard and a young Stevie Wonder. Grauman's Chinese Theatre

The Grauman's Chinese Theatre was originally found in Central Los Angeles. Sid Grauman then decided he wanted to build one in Hollywood, which opened on May 18, 1927. Cecil B. DeMille's "King of Kings" premiered at Grauman's Chinese Theatre that night. The next day the theatre was opened to the general public. Many movie premieres are held at the theatre because it is the most generally coveted theater to premiere a production in. In 1968, Grauman's Chinese Theatre was named a historic-culture landmark. Over four million folks visit Grauman's Chinese Theatre each day. Do not forget to visit this incredible theatre.

Walt Disney Concert Hall

Concert halls in Los Angeles include the Walt Disney Concert Hall, which is the home base of the LA Philharmonic. Both guided tours and self-guided tours can be taken at the Walt Disney Concert Hall. The tour starts in the grand lobby of the building and lasts for 1 hour. There are two restaurants in the concert hall for visitors to dine at. For fine dining there's the Patina and for more casual dining there's the Concert Hall Cafe.
