Reverend Leroy James Campbell has written the book Grow Jamaica. This gives readers a look at the implications of legal marijuana on law, medicine, politics and the economy. Crops of high value in the market are encouraged for cultivation. These should be good for both the local and international markets. The leaders also look into minimizing the imports of the country. This is the only way considered to help the citizens.

The country also produces cassava, poultry and ginger root. The agriculture department exhausts efforts to help the farmer in selling their products. Various ads in television networks and radio stations are aired. The release of the documentary is also a measure taken. These things are done so people will be informed.

The focus of the documentary is the possibility that hemp could boost the economy. The leaders sees the proposal of decriminalizing selling and using marijuana. The country has very strict statutes that punishes marijuana trade.

There are various sectors of the society that is alarmed at the proposal to decriminalize marijuana. Social forums and political venues have varying propositions about the issue. For those who support the move, economic progress is seen. They see that trading the plant legally will illicit trade and boost the economy.
