The Wisdom Of Taking Pre-Wedding Photography

By Brittany Mitchell

While marriage is the beginning of the lives of the bride and groom as one, their wedding day is the conclusion of months of preparation. Every couple knows that regardless of how simply or grandly they celebrate their wedding, it's the product of a meticulous planning, which includes a prenuptial photo session wherein the couple get together and smile in front of the camera weeks or months prior to their wedding date.

Although there are people who think Pre-Wedding Photography is just a trend, it has actually been around for a very long time. Our parents and grandparents may even have had a prenuptial photo shoot during their time. It's just during the recent years that it has escalated in popularity. Maybe it's because many couples have seen the prudence of posing together for the camera ahead of their wedding day.

Pre-wedding shoots are like the getting to know stage of the couple and the photographer. It's a great chance for the couple to get rid of their uneasiness before the camera. They will be able to get to understand the person who will take the photographs on their wedding day, and the photographer will understand what the couple wants.

Since the photo shoot is held in a stress-free environment, it allows the couple and the photographer to form a comfortable working relationship. The photographer takes the time to become familiar with what the couple wants, while the couple would understand how the photographer works. This will lead them to take natural-looking pictures during the photography shoot and the wedding day itself.

Not to mention, prenuptial pictures are fun to take. They normally have themes, according to the vision of the photographer and the idea of the clients. Some even include costumes and storylines. Taking pre-wedding photos is the time when the couples can have fun, be flirty, and get creative before the camera. And if they are having fun, the photos would likely lead to fun shots also.

They are not the same with Singapore bridal wedding photos, wherein the focus is only on the bride and is usually captured on the wedding day itself. Pre-wedding shoots include both the bride and the groom, and are captured before the big day. Most Singapore photographers already include pre-wedding photos in their packages. This way, clients don't have to worry about spending more for a separate pictorial payment.
