It can often feel that all the greatest shows take place in London. However if you happen to live outside of the capital, there are a range of different shows taking place in the next few months that are sure to impress.
Alice Cooper: Halloween Night of Fear III is sure to get you into the Halloween spirit at the Sheffield City Hall on November 1st. Many fantastic hits are performed by the American father of shock rock such as No More Mr Nice Guy, School's Out and Welcome to My Nightmare.
Check out Al Murray: The Only Way Is Epic on November 5th for something slightly more sedate. With his blend of acumen, satire and buffoonery, the popular Pub Landlord will have you rolling in the aisles at City Hall. With singer-songwriter, ex Take That heartthrob and reality TV show judge, Gary Barlow, taking to the stage to perform hits spanning his musical career, more classic pop takes place at City Hall on November 28th.
Make sure you're in Leeds this November if you're a movie buff as the Leeds International Film Festival takes place from the 1st to the 18th. Presented by the Film Festival, it will be showing over 300 unseen and outstanding film screenings.
You can't beat this city for its sheer variety of events, and if you like a touch of glitz and glamour, you'll love The Lady Boys of Bangkok at Millennium Square from October 12th to 27th. This colourful cabaret is a real feast for the eyes - you'll be dazzled by the talented troupe of dressed-up-to-the-nines carnival kings and queens, who will be performing classic hits from the likes of Lady Gaga and Katy Perry.
Nottingham is also rich in culture with a wide variety of forthcoming events. On November 12th the Theatre Royal plays host to comedian Russell Kane, who has been described by The Times as being 'a seriously good comedian' and will be Posturing Delivery.
